How to Help
Our volunteers help with every aspect of the farm: planting, harvesting, watering, weeding, and helping out at our free farmers’ markets.
We have volunteer hours every Saturday morning, rain or shine, from
9 am-12 pm, and Thursday evenings from either 6-8 pm or 5-7 pm, depending on when the sun is setting. We usually begin the season at the end of March/early April and run through the beginning of November.
No experience is necessary, and we have all of the tools you will need. Gardening gloves are helpful if you have them, but we also have some to borrow. We do ask that you wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and dress for the weather. In the warm weather, you should plan to bring water and sunscreen, as it can get pretty hot. The best part…all volunteers get to take home some Mack Park Farm produce once it’s available!
